Consumers to pay more as gas, diesel increase

Consumers will pay slightly more for gasoline and diesel from midnight Sunday, September 7, following the latest petroleum price review.

Gasoline will now retail at $3.96 per litre, reflecting an increase of two cents, while diesel rises by eight cents to $3.40 per litre.

The price of kerosene remains unchanged at $1.27 per litre. However, there has been a reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) costs. The new retail prices are as follows: 100 lb cylinder – $160.08; 25 lb cylinder – $45.12; 22 lb cylinder – $39.87; and 20 lb cylinder – $36.25.

The next price adjustment is scheduled for Sunday, October 5. (BGIS)
